YOUR FUTURE. YOURS TO LEAD.

There's a difference between keeping life moving and choosing where it goes.

You can be capable, committed and proud of much that you've built, and still have parts of your work or life you'd like to change.

Maybe the week keeps getting away from you. Work follows you home. Something important never quite happens. Or you're beginning to ask what you actually want next.

I help men understand what's happening, change what's not working and take a more deliberate lead in the life they want to live.

01 / START WHERE YOU ARE

What would you like to be different?

An illustrated desk with books, a plant, notebook, laptop, mug and reading lamp

You don't have to be unhappy with your life to want more influence over how it unfolds.

Maybe the day goes into responding to everybody else while the things that matter to you barely move. You finish work but carry it around in your head all evening. Or there's something you want to do, yet each week you seem to make the same unfulfilled promise.

Perhaps the question is bigger: you've built a life that works in many ways, but you're not sure you still want the same things from it.

WHERE WE BEGIN

It doesn't need to be a crisis or a complete reinvention. We start with the part of your life you want to lead differently.

02 / A DIFFERENT WAY TO LOOK AT IT

Maybe you don't need
another reason to be hard on yourself.

When the same problem keeps coming back, it's easy to assume the problem must be you.

You tell yourself to be more disciplined. Get better organised. Try harder. Find the right system. Sometimes it even works for a while, until life gets busy, the extra effort becomes unsustainable and you find yourself back where you started.

But different problems need different answers. Sometimes the workload really is unreasonable. Sometimes a practical change is exactly what's missing. And sometimes, despite all your ability and effort, you're caught in a familiar way of thinking or responding that you haven't yet been able to see clearly.

The useful question isn't simply, ‘What's wrong with me?’ It's ‘What's actually happening, and what can I do differently?’

A BETTER PLACE TO START
See what's happening.→Choose what changes.→Make it work.

03 / WHAT BECOMES POSSIBLE

Not a new personality.
A better experience of your own life.

This isn't about becoming someone who never feels pressure, makes mistakes or has a difficult day. It's about having more say in how you meet those things, with more room for the life that matters to you. What a better life looks like is yours to decide.

THE DIFFERENCE, IN REAL LIFE

The changes that
actually matter.

01

Getting ahead of the day

Choosing what deserves your attention, and making space for it instead of only responding to whatever arrives next.

02

Being there when you're there

Finishing work in your head as well as in your calendar, so you can give the rest of your life your attention.

03

Enough, without losing your edge

Staying ambitious and effective while becoming clearer about what genuinely matters, and when you've done enough.

04

Doing what you've decided matters

Turning the things you genuinely want to do into choices and actions that work in your actual life.

05

Making choices that feel like yours

Being honest about what you want next, while taking the people and responsibilities in your life seriously.

THE POINT OF IT ALL

More of your life
on your terms.

Greater freedom to choose how you live, lead and respond.

04 / THE PERSON BEHIND THE APPROACH

Mark Goddard smiling

I'm Mark.

For a long time, I believed that if I just worked hard enough, everything would work out.

And I did work hard. Often far too hard. But despite all that effort, I wasn't getting the rewards, happiness or fulfilment I'd expected. Eventually, I burnt myself out in my first career.

What stayed with me wasn't just the exhaustion. It was the question behind it. How could I be trying so hard, doing everything I thought I was supposed to do, and still not have the life I wanted?

That question changed the direction of my life.

I changed careers and became a teacher. I enjoyed teaching much more, but I never stopped exploring those questions. I wanted to understand myself better, why we live and behave as we do, and what it really takes to create a life that feels happy and fulfilling.

Many years ago, I left teaching to become a full-time coach. Since then, I've helped more than a hundred people through individual and couples coaching, group work and courses, helping them understand themselves and make meaningful changes in their lives.

The work I do with men today has grown out of all of that experience, both personal and professional.

I know what it's like to feel you're giving everything you've got, yet somehow life still isn't working the way you want it to. And I know how much can change when you begin to understand what's really happening and learn to lead yourself differently.

These days, I have a life that feels happy, free and fulfilling. Not because everything always goes to plan, but because I've developed a practice of self-leadership that helps me make conscious choices and keep creating a life on my own terms.

I'm still learning, growing and deciding what I want to create next. I don't think that ever really stops.

And I'd love to get to know you, hear your story, and discover what you'd like to change or create in your own life.

05 / HOW I WORK

I'm not here to tell you
what kind of man to be.

It's about understanding what's really happening and deciding what you want to do about it.

We start with your situation, your experience and the future you want to create, not a prewritten idea of what a man's life should look like.

I.

Get clear about what's really happening.

We look carefully at the problem, including the parts that are genuinely outside your control and the parts you may be able to influence. No assumptions. No automatic diagnosis.

II.

Use the kind of help the problem actually needs.

Sometimes that means practical changes to priorities, time, boundaries or organisation. Sometimes a recurring response needs deeper understanding. We follow the issue, not a fixed coaching formula.

III.

Make the change yours.

Insight matters when it changes real choices and actions. The aim isn't to need me to tell you what to do. It's for you to be better able to lead yourself.

06 / WORK WITH ME

One-to-one coaching.
For the thing you want to sort out.

You don't need a perfect explanation of the problem before getting in touch.

Bring the part of your work or life that's no longer working as you want. We'll work to understand what's actually going on, what you want instead and what will help you move towards it. The work is personal, and its depth follows what you need. Practical when practical is enough; deeper when that genuinely matters.

07 / YOUR NEXT MOVE

Your future.
Yours to lead.

That might mean changing how your days work, being more present beyond work, or finally deciding what you want the next chapter to be for.

If there's something you'd like to change, tell me a little about it or book a conversation. We can explore whether working together would help.

08 / QUESTIONS

Before you
get in touch.

Is this just another way to get more productive?
Not unless that is genuinely the problem you want to solve. Better planning, organisation and follow-through can make an enormous difference. But my work is broader than productivity: it's about how you lead yourself, deal with responsibility, respond to what happens and shape the life you're living.
What if my circumstances really are difficult?
Then we take that seriously. An impossible workload, a challenging relationship or financial pressure doesn't disappear because of a different mindset. We distinguish what really is happening from where you have options, influence and room to act.
Are you going to tell me how I should live?
No. I'll ask questions, offer observations, tell you the truth as I see it and challenge you where that helps. But I don't get to decide what your life should be. The aim is for you to have more agency, not hand it over to me.
Do I have to commit to coaching before we speak?
No. If you're considering 1:1 and would rather have a conversation before making a decision, that's an entirely reasonable place to start.
